Justification

Achieving effective results as a wildlife professional requires exposure to new thoughts and best practices. It requires an effective network of professionals and suppliers who have information and solutions you need.

At our meeting, you’ll have opportunities to learn, engage, and grow in ways that will help propel your career forward and inspire you to strive for even better results in the areas of wildlife science and management that are important to you.

General Tips

Many professional development and training budgets have been reduced, and some agencies and organizations are experiencing financial challenges. To help you justify the expense of attending our Annual Conference:

        • Outline what you’ll bring back to your organization as return on the investment.
        • Offer to prepare and deliver a short presentation for your colleagues to share what you learned, so that others in your organization can benefit from your attendance.
        • Be ready with a plan that shows who will cover for you while you are attending the conference.
